Orange County, FL (August 26, 2021) - Two men lost their lives in a car accident that took place in Orange County on Wednesday, August 25th. The crash took place at the intersection of Curry Ford Road and Cypress Springs Parkway.
According to police, a 26-year-old man from Orlando was driving a 2016 Toyota SUV northbound on Curry Ford. At the same time, a 37-year-old Orlando man was driving a 2021 Ford F150 southbound on Curry Ford. The SUV driver was traveling at a high rate of speed and lost control of his vehicle. The car went into the southbound lanes where it struck the pickup truck head-on. The pickup truck then overturned. The pickup driver died at the scene while the Toyota driver died at a local hospital. Two underage passengers in the pickup suffered minor injuries.
None of the victims have been identified. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
Fatal car accidents in Florida happen approximately once every three hours. Unfortunately, many deadly car accidents take place each year in Orange County. An Orange County car accident can result in the sudden and unexpected loss of a loved one at the hands of a negligent driver. This crash will continue to be investigated to determine the cause.
