Orange County, FL (March 14, 2019) - Two men were killed and another was seriously hurt when they were struck by a vehicle while standing on State Road 50 on Thursday, March 14th.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the men were traveling in a vehicle when they crashed into a treeline on SR-50. Their vehicle was pulled back onto the roadway by another motorist. The men were standing outside the car when a Dodge van approached them, striking all three. Two of the men were killed and the third was injured. The injured victim was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.
The driver of the van remained on-scene and told police that he could not see the men until it was too late and that he swerved to avoid them but was unsuccessful. None of the victims have been identified at this time.
The investigation is ongoing at this time. There is no word on whether any charges are expected.
