Orlando, FL (October 4, 2019) - Two men were killed and a third person was hurt in a fatal crash along Orange Blossom Trail on Friday, October 4th. The crash happened in the 9500 block of the roadway around 3:00 a.m.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 33-year-old Michael Plattner was driving southbound on Orange Blossom when he rear-ended a Toyota Camry, causing it to go off the roadway and crash into a sign and a pole. A male passenger in Camry was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the crash scene. The driver of the Camry also died in the accident. A female passenger was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Plattner attempted to flee the scene but was later apprehended by police. The crash is still under investigation at this time.
