Oviedo, FL (August 19, 2021) - A 34-year-old man from Oviedo was killed while running on a road in Seminole County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The accident occurred around 5:00 p.m on Wednesday at the intersection of Stone Street and Howard Avenue.
According to troopers, a pickup truck was pulling a trailer and traveling northbound on Stone Street when the truck left the road and struck a mailbox. The truck then struck the man and hit another mailbox and a culvert. The car then overturned and hit a tree before coming to rest. The man who was hit died at Oviedo Medical Center where he was taken following the crash. His identity is not available at this time. There is no word on whether the truck driver was hurt.
The cause of the crash is unknown and remains under investigation at this time. There is no additional information available.
