Palm Beach County, FL (January 1, 2019) - A horrific two-car crash in Palm Springs left two people dead on Tuesday, January 1st. The accident happened around 3:00 am at the intersection of Lake Worth and Kirk roads.
According to officers, a vehicle was traveling southbound on Kirk Road when it was struck by a Jeep traveling westbound on Lake Worth Road. Following the crash, one of the vehicles collided with a utility box at the intersection. Two people were killed in the collision but they have not been identified at this time and it is unclear if either vehicle had any passengers at the time of the crash. The intersection was closed for approximately six hours while police worked at the scene and cleared the vehicles.
At this time, it is unclear how the crash was caused and which driver may have had the right of way. A police investigation remains ongoing.
