Palm Harbor, FL (January 8, 2021) - Three people were taken to the hospital after a car accident in Palm Harbor on Friday. The crash happened on U.S. Highway 19 near Innisbrook Drive.
The Palm Harbor Fire Rescue, along with officers, responded to the scene of the accident. According to officials, the crash took place in the southbound lanes of the roadway. There is no word on the details leading up to the accident at this time. There is no information on the conditions of the three victims at this time. All southbound lanes were closed and motorists were urged to find alternate routes of travel.

One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash that took place in DeBary on Tuesday evening. The crash happened just after 5:00 p.m. on Fort Florida Road near the intersection with 15th Street. According to officials, a pickup truck and a dump truck were traveling in opposite directions when the two vehicles collided head-on with one another. The driver of the pickup truck was rushed to a nearby hospital but later succumbed to his injuries. There is no information at this time on the cause of the accident or which vehicle crossed over the centerline. The Volusia County Sheriff's Office is investigating the accident.
