Palm Shores, FL (September 12, 2019) - The two victims in a fatal head-on crash that occurred on US 1 have been identified. The crash took place on Wednesday, September 11th.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 81-year-old Peter Avener was driving a 2017 Kia SUV northbound on US 1 when, for unknown reasons, he lost control of the vehicle. Avner veered into the northbound lanes where his car collided with a 2016 Nissan pickup truck driven by 68-year-old Rabilal Nandlal. Both Avner and Nandlal died in the crash. 36-year-old Takisha Webber received minor injuries in the crash and a fourth person involved was uninjured.
The crash is still under investigation at this time and no further information is available.
