Pasco County, FL (November 6, 2019) – A man from Zephyrhills was killed in a crash involving several vehicles in Pasco County. The crash happened on Monday, November 4th at around 2:45 p.m.
Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the area of US 98 south near Stanton Hall Drive. According to reports, 53-year-old Edward R. Holzer, II was killed in the crash when his truck collided with at least two other trucks. Police say that Holzer’s truck hit a 2008 Mack tractor-trailer and a 2014 Freightliner after leaving its lane of travel. Holzer died at the scene. There is no word on whether anyone else was injured.
Police are still investigating at this time and have ruled out alcohol as a cause of the crash.
