Pembroke Pines, FL (June 1, 2019) - Two women suffered injuries in a crash that took place on Friday, May 31st. The crash was reported on the Howard C. Forman Roadway.
According to the Pembroke Pines Police Department, a 2015 Chevy Equinox and a 2013 Ford Flex were involved in the crash. According to Sgt. John Baker, 44-year-old Rolanda Booker was driving the Chevy. Baker attempted to make a left turn from University Drive onto the Forman Roadway when she struck the oncoming Flex, driven by 35-year-old Shevon Smith-Alexis. Rescue workers took both women to Memorial Regional Hospital after the crash.
Booker suffered life-threatening injuries, while Smith-Alexis suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Police say that Booker caused the crash when she violated the right of way. No further details were released.
