Pierson, FL (September 16, 2020) - A motorcyclist was killed in a crash that took place in Pierson on Wednesday, September 16th. The crash happened just after 3:00 p.m. on E. 4th Avenue at the intersection with U.S. 17.
Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol were dispatched to the scene shortly after the accident happened. Witnesses noted the motorcyclist's helmet lying on the side of the road and a heavy amount of debris near the crash. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. There is no word on the cause of the accident at this time. The victim's name has not been released.
An investigation remains ongoing. No additional details have been released.
