Pine Hills, FL (October 4, 2018) - A 7-year-old boy was injured after being struck by a car in Pine Hills on Wednesday, October 3rd. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 7-year-old Movens Saintil was crossing Pine Hills Road, near Silver Star Road around 5:05 pm.
As he was crossing the road, he was struck by a Hyundai driven by Sangtae Han, 33. Saintil was transported by EMS to Arnold Palmer Hospital for children. There is no word on the extent of his injuries. Han was not hurt in the crash.
Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
Nearly 10,000 pedestrians were hurt in crashes last year. Each pedestrian accident is different and requires close and careful examination of the circumstances surrounding the accident.
