Pinellas County, FL (August 23, 2021) - Two people sustained serious injuries in a car accident that took place in Pinellas County on Monday, August 23rd. The accident occurred on 54th Avenue North.
The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene. According to troopers, a 46-year-old man from St. Petersburg was driving the wrong way on 54th Avenue when he collided with a vehicle driven by a 32-year-old woman from St. Petersburg. Both vehicles came to rest in the westbound lanes. The woman was seriously hurt, along with a 34-year-old passenger in her vehicle. The 46-year-old man sustained minor injuries. Troopers have not released the names of those involved.
An investigation is ongoing. There is no further information available.
