Polk County, FL (December 23, 2019) - A 3-year-old boy was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Polk County on Sunday, December 22nd. The crash was reported on Interstate 4.
According to reports, Josiah King was sitting on a passenger's lap in the back seat of a vehicle that was traveling eastbound on I-4. A vehicle suddenly changed lanes and collided with the vehicle in which King was riding. The car then collided with a guardrail in the center median. The other vehicle fled the crash scene. King later succumbed to injuries suffered in the crash. A 7-year-old boy who was also in the vehicle was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
There is no information on the suspect vehicle. Anyone with details should call the Florida Highway Patrol at 813-558-1800.
