Polk County, FL (March 16, 2021) - Police in Polk County responded to the scene of a five-vehicle accident on Tuesday, March 16th. The collision took place on U.S. Highway 98 south around 8:05 a.m.
The Polk County Sheriff's Office arrived just after the incident took place. According to police, 22-year-old Kayla Harris was driving a 2005 Honda Sebring when her car was hit by a white truck. Harris died at the accident scene. There were additional injuries reported as a result of the accident but there is no word on the victims' conditions.
