Polk County, FL (March 10, 2021) - Authorities in Polk County responded to a deadly crash on U.S. 27 Wednesday morning. The collision was reported around 6:00 a.m. near the intersection with Cypress Gardens Boulevard.
The accident occurred in the southbound lanes of the roadway. Police say that a blue Toyota and a semi-truck were involved. There is no word on the events leading up to the accident at this time. The wreck left two people dead. The identities of the deceased victims are not available.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing. No additional information has been released.
