Poinciana, FL (March 13, 2019) - A tragic head-on collision resulted in the deaths of three people on Tuesday, March 12th. Deputies with the Polk County Sheriff's office were called to the crash scene around 7:20 p.m. at the intersection of Marigold Avenue and Bell Tower Crossing East.
According to reports, 19-year-old Emmanuel Semedo was driving a red sports car northbound on Marigold Avenue at a high rate of speed. Semedo lost control of his car, crossed over the double yellow line, and collided with a white vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. Semedo's car caught fire and he was pulled out by deputies. Semedo and the two occupants of the white vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not identified the other two victims at this time.
