Port Charlotte, FL (August 2, 2019) - Police were on the scene of an injury crash in Port Charlotte on Friday, August 2nd. The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the crash scene in the southbound lanes of I-75, near mile marker 169.
According to reports, the crash caused a major delay and backup at the scene. Police report that injuries were sustained in the accident. The nature and extent of the injuries are unclear at this time. There was no word on the cause of the accident, nor the identities of those involved.
An investigation is ongoing and no further information is available at this time.
