Port Charlotte, FL (January 31, 2021) - A 61-year-old man from Port Charlotte was seriously hurt in a motorcycle crash that took place on Saturday. The crash happened on Kings Highway near Sandhill Boulevard.
The Florida Highway Patrol was called to the scene just after the crash occurred. According to a report from troopers, the motorcyclist was riding his bike on Kings Highway when a car entered his lane and collided with the motorcycle. The rider was taken to a hospital with major injuries but there is no word on whether the injuries are life-threatening. The motorcyclist has not been identified at this time.
Troopers charged the driver of the car with careless driving for their role in the crash.
