Putnam County, FL (November 1, 2019) - At least one person died in a crash that took place in Putnam County on Friday, November 1st. The accident was reported around 6:15 a.m. at the intersection of West River Road and Palmetto Bluff Road near Palatka.
The Florida Highway Patrol was called to the crash scene. Troopers report that two people were inside the vehicle when it crashed into a ditch. One of the occupants died, but it is not known whether the deceased victim was the driver or a passenger. There is no word on what caused the accident to occur. The crash caused the roadway to be blocked as of 7:00 a.m. The victims of the crash have not been identified at this time.
