Putnam County, FL (September 7, 2019) - Two children suffered serious injuries in a two-car crash that took place in Putnam County on Friday, September 6th. The crash occurred on State Road 20 around 6:00 p.m.
The Florida Highway Patrol was called to the scene in response to the collision. According to reports, a 2006 Ford F-150 was driving eastbound on SR 20 behind a 2016 Kia Sedona. The driver of the Sedona slowed to make a left turn, however, the truck failed to stop and crashed into the back of the van. The van continued on before crashing into a sign and a palm tree. Two young children inside the van suffered serious injuries while the van driver suffered minor injuries.
The driver of the truck, 18-year-old Jacob Houk sustained minor injuries. Troopers charged Hauk with careless driving.
