Putnam County, FL (March 26, 2021) - Two people from Jacksonville were injured in a rollover accident that took place on Friday in Putnam County. The accident happened at approximately 8:20 p.m on County Road 309.
The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the crash scene. According to troopers, a 25-year-old woman was driving southbound on CR 309 when the car left the roadway and drive into a ditch. The car hit an embankment and flipped over before striking a tree. The driver sustained minor injuries while a 19-year-old male passenger was seriously hurt. Both occupants were wearing seat belts at the time of the collision. Neither has been identified at this time.
There is no word on potential charges stemming from the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
