As of 2018, Florida was the deadliest state in the nation for bicyclists, with 5.7 deaths per million people. Many of our residents and tourists enjoy bicycling as a hobby or for exercise. However, the reality is that a bicyclist can be involved in a very serious crash on less than a moment's notice. Bicyclists must always ride carefully and cautiously and obey all traffic laws when on the roadway.
