Seminole County, FL (April 14, 2019) - A man from DeBary died on Friday, April 12th when he was hit by a car while standing outside his vehicle on Interstate 4. The crash happened around 11:40 p.m.
According to reports, Joshua Cherry was outside of his 2009 Chevy SUV, which was parked at the end of the Lake Mary Boulevard exit ramp. Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol say that is when a Honda sedan traveling westbound collided with Cherry and his vehicle. The Honda driver, 39-year-old James Pinter, sustained minor injuries. Cherry died from his injuries.
At this time, it is unknown why Cherry was standing on the side of the highway. The crash is still under investigation.
