One person was rescued from a vehicle that was struck in the canal near the Beeline Highway. Authorities were called to the scene last night around 8:30 p.m.
The Beeline Highway Canal crash involved two vehicles, one of which landed in the canal following the accident and one of which landed on a bank area around the canal. The accident took place near the Beeline Highway and Indiantown Road. The Palm Beach County Fire Rescue was called to the scene of the accident.
Drivers confirmed that nobody was in the vehicle that landed in the canal by the time that first responders came to the scene. A male, however, was trapped inside the vehicle in the bank area. Responders had to use tools to cut the patient from the vehicle. His name was not released but he was seriously injured and taken to the hospital for immediate treatment.
