Southwest Miami-Dade, FL (August 28, 2019) - An off-duty police officer was hurt and another person was killed in a three-car crash in Southwest Miami-Dade. The crash happened on Tuesday, August 27th, near the intersection with Southwest 134th Avenue and 200th Street.
According to police, the off-duty police officer was taken to a local hospital. After receiving treatment and staying overnight at a hospital, the trooper was released on Wednesday. A driver in one of the other vehicles was killed in the crash. That deceased driver has not been identified at this time. Police are still investigating and do not know why the crash took place.
