Southwest Miami-Dade, FL (July 12, 2019) - A serious crash between two vehicles left at least two people dead in Southwest Miami-Dade on Thursday, July 11th.The crash, which involved a car and a pick-up truck, took place at the intersection of Bird Road and 92nd Avenue.
Numerous police and emergency vehicles were on the scene following the crash. A Honda Accord involved in the accident was nearly cut in half due to the force of the impact. Two crash victims were pronounced dead at the scene. A total of six people were hurt in the crash and were taken to area hospitals, with two of the victims being classified as trauma alerts. At least one child was among the injured.
The Florida Highway Patrol has assumed responsibility for the crash investigation. There is no word on the events which led up to the collision and police are still actively investigating. No further information is available at this time.
