Spring Hill, FL (January 1, 2020) - A 7-year-old boy was seriously hurt after being struck by a car on Mariner Boulevard. The crash happened on Tuesday, December 31st around 7:00 p.m.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Jonathan Nunes was riding a tricycle and attempting to cross Mariner when he rode into the path of a 1997 Honda Civic that was traveling southbound. The front right of the vehicle struck Nunes. The boy was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital after the crash with injuries that were described as serious. The driver of the Civic, 38-year-old Thomas C. Goins, was not injured in the collision.
No further details were released.
