St. Augustine, FL (August 21, 2021) - A man is dead after a pedestrian accident in St. Augustine on Saturday morning. The accident happened on State Road 16 near Old Town Parkway.
The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the crash scene. According to reports, a 47-year-old man was walking near Old Town when he was hit by a truck. The driver of the truck fled the scene after the accident. The pedestrian, who was not identified, died at the crash scene. The St. Johns County Fire and Rescue also responded to the scene. Police are looking for a 2013 white Ford F150 with a sunroof. The truck may have damage to its left side.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Florida Highway Patrol. The investigation is ongoing.
