Serious Brevard County Crane Accident Leaves One Injured

St. Johns County, FL (December 20, 2018) - Two people sustained injuries in a crash in St. Johns County on Thursday, December 20th. The accident happened in the early morning hours, just before 2:00 am, at the intersection of International Golf Parkway and I-95.
Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol were able to determine that a 20011 Honda Accord was traveling southbound on I-95 when it veered out of its lane and collided with a 2010 Dodge Ram traveling southbound. The vehicles collided head-on with one another and were forced off the roadway before hitting a tree and coming to rest. The driver of the Accord is identified as 31-year-old Amar S. Ghuman and the driver of the Ram is identified as 27-year-old Sarah Coleman.
Ghuman was seriously hurt in the accident and was flown to Orange Park Regional Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition. Coleman suffered serious injuries and was taken to Memorial Hospital by ambulance.
Troopers are still investigating the crash and are looking into whether alcohol may have played a role. No additional information is available.

A 46-year-old tractor-trailer driver died in a crash along Interstate 10. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 9:50 a.m. near mile marker 310 in Lake City. Early reports indicate that Marcus Hooper, 46, was traveling eastbound on I-10 when, for unknown reasons, his truck collided with the right side of another truck, driven by 52-year-old Terry Bullard. Hooper then crossed over the median, over the westbound lanes, and into a wooded area where his truck collided with several trees. Hooper died at the crash scene, while Bullard was not injured.
