Over 250,000 injury crashes will take place this year in Florida, and many of these crashes will involve motorcycles. When a motorcycle crash occurs, the damage is often catastrophic. As we see in this accident, motorcycles offer little protection against the dangers of the road. Even though there are certain safety precautions that motorcyclists can and should take, such as wearing a helmet, there is often nothing that can be done to prevent serious injury in a motorcycle crash.
Our thoughts go out to Terri Heisele in this tragic motorcycle crash, and we hope she receives the treatment necessary to facilitate a full recovery.
