St. Petersburg, FL (September 6, 2018) - A crash occurred in the northbound lanes of Interstate 275 in St. Petersburg on Thursday.
The Florida Highway Patrol was dispatched to the crash scene, which involved at least three vehicles. A blue SUV was seen with front end damage, while a second vehicle was located in the median and a third came to rest against a metal barrier. It is not clear exactly how the accident occurred. Injuries were reported in the accident, but there is no word on the nature or severity of the injuries. Police closed the affected traffic lanes while the investigation remained ongoing. Drivers were urged to take alternate routes.
