St. Petersburg, FL (April 7, 2021) - Multiple vehicles were involved in a crash that took place in St. Petersburg on Wednesday morning. The collision took place on the Courtney Campbell Causeway.
According to local authorities, a tractor-trailer was traveling westbound when the driver failed to slow for traffic in front of him. The result was a chain-reaction collision involving 8 cars and 16 victims. Police say that 14 and of the 16 victims declined medical treatment. Two of the victims were transported to nearby hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. There is no word on the identity of the victims at this time.
An investigation remains ongoing. No further information is available.
