Starke, FL (August 27, 2019) - Three people died in a head-on crash that took place on Tuesday, August 27th. The crash happened on State Road 100 near Southeast 109th Street around 6:51 a.m.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 53-year-old Kevin Booth was traveling westbound in a pickup truck in the eastbound lanes of SR 100 when he collided with a Ford Fiesta traveling eastbound. Booth was killed in the crash in addition to the two occupants of the Fiesta, 35-year-old Laura Wilbert and 16-year-old Christian Okrasinski. The truck did not have its headlights on at the time of the crash.
The crash closed all lanes near the scene until around 11:00 a.m. Police have not said what caused the accident at this time. There is no further information available.
