There are approximately 8,000 reported injury crashes involving motorcycles in Florida each year. Nearly 80% of all motorcycle accidents involve injury or serious injury to motorcycle riders or their passengers. Motorcyclists are far more vulnerable to being seriously hurt in any type of crash with another vehicle due to the lack of protection offered by motorcycles when a crash occurs.
