Sumter County, FL (November 25, 2019) - The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a deadly pedestrian crash in Sumter County on Saturday, November 23rd. The crash took place on I-75 near the Bushnell exit.
According to reports, 61-year-old Kevin Charles Kelly experienced car trouble and exited his vehicle. As he left the vehicle and attempted to cross the road, he was struck by a semi-truck driven by 61-year-old Hugo Calixto of Buena Park, CA. Kelly was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers are still investigating the crash and, at this time, have not filed any charges against Calixto.
No further information has been released.
