Sunny Isles Beach, FL (September 26, 2019) - A police officer was hurt when his patrol vehicle was struck by another car on Thursday, September 26th. The crash happened around 5 p.m. at the intersection of Collins Avenue and 183rd Street.
According to reports, the officer had stopped his car in the southbound lanes when his vehicle was sideswiped by the other vehicle. The officer was taken to a local hospital for treatment. He sustained a concussion as a result of the crash. The other driver was not hurt but authorities believe that he may have suffered a medical emergency that led to the crash.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing and there is no further information available.
