Sunrise, FL (May 20, 2021) - Police in Sunrise responded to a call regarding a multi-vehicle crash on Thursday, May 20th. The crash was reported just after 5:30 p.m. on Sawgrass Expressway near Sunrise Boulevard.
According to officials, a total of four vehicles were involved in the accident. One person was ejected from their car and died at the accident scene. At this time, the identity of the deceased victim has not been released and there are no details regarding the cause of the accident. The Sawgrass Expressway was closed for a period of time following the crash as motorists were diverted onto Sunrise Boulevard. There were no other injuries reported.
