Fatal pedestrian crashes take place in Florida about twice per day. Sadly, many pedestrian accidents are unavoidable and happen suddenly. Pedestrians are very vulnerable and are likely to suffer serious injuries or death when they are involved in a crash with a vehicle.
If you have lost a loved one in a Florida pedestrian crash, it is important to understand your legal rights. If your loved one was not at fault for the accident, you may have a claim under Florida's wrongful death law. Under this law, you may be able to receive compensation for the loss of your loved one, including payment for funeral costs, medical bills, lost wages, and loss of companionship.
