Tampa, FL (October 3, 2018) - Police responded to the scene of a motorcycle crash with a pickup truck on Tuesday, October 2nd.
The Florida Highway Patrol was called to the scene at Orient Road near Hillsborough Avenue around 7:30 am. There, they discovered that 39-year-old Ryan James Simpson was driving a Honda motorcycle on Hillsborough Avenue when he stopped for a red light. Simpson later entered the intersection and collided with a Nissan pickup truck driven by Felipe Mendoza, 41. A serious car accident can occur at any time. No one expects that they will be involved in a serious crash when they get behind the wheel. The reality though is that there are approximately 250,000 injury accidents reported each year in Florida and many of these accidents will, unfortunately, involve serious injury.
When you are hurt in an accident that was not your fault, you have legal rights. The other driver, as well as your own insurance company, may be responsible for payment of your medical bills and other damages related to the accident. In these situations, you should speak with an experienced Florida personal injury attorney.
