Tampa, FL (February 5, 2021) - One person is dead and another injured following a car accident on I-75 in Tampa. The accident took place on Friday, February 5th.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, a car was traveling in the northbound lanes when the driver exited the highway at the Selmon Expressway. The driver failed to negotiate the curve and ran off the roadway before overturning. A passenger was ejected and killed as a result of the crash. The driver was also ejected and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The victims of the accident were not immediately identified.
An investigation is ongoing at this time. No further information is available.
