Vero Beach, FL (January 16, 2020) - The college student killed in a Wednesday crash in Vero Beach has been identified by authorities.
Police say that 20-year-old Grace Rett was killed in the collision. Rett was a member of the Holy Cross College women's rowing team. The team was aboard a van that was involved in a crash with a Dodge Ram pickup. According to witnesses, the van turned into the path of the truck, causing the crash to occur. Rett was a front passenger in the van when the accident occurred. Several other occupants of the van were injured in the collision. At least three patients were listed in critical condition at Lawnwood Hospital.
There is no word at this time on whether charges are expected.
