Vero Beach, FL (March 12, 2021) - Two people were sent to the hospital after a car accident in Vero Beach on Friday. The collision happened on U.S. Highway 1 near 15th Place around 5:20 p.m.
The Vero Beach Police Department responded to the scene of the crash. According to officials, the accident involved a white Ford Fusion and a silver Chevrolet Silverado and took place in the northbound lanes of the roadway. At this time, police have not provided any details on the events that preceded the collision. Following the accident, a man and a woman were taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. The road remained closed for several hours as officials worked at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing. There is no additional information available.
