Volusia County, FL (April 5, 2021) - One person was killed after a crash in Volusia County on Sunday, April 4th. The accident took place on State Road 40 near Check Station Road.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a car was traveling eastbound when it veered into the westbound lanes and collided with a truck. A passenger in the truck died at the accident scene while both drivers with taken to Halifax Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries. There is no word on the identity of the injured victims and it is not clear what charges will be expected against the driver of the car.
