Volusia County, FL (May 15, 2021) - Police in Volusia County responded to the scene of a deadly crash on Friday, May 14th. The accident took place in the southbound lanes of State Road 415.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 54-year-old man was driving a 2002 Chevy pickup truck southbound on SR 415 when he collided head-on with a Hyundai that was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes. Both the 54-year-old man and the 22-year-old woman female Hyundai driver died at the accident scene. The victims have not been identified at this time and it is unclear what caused the woman to travel the wrong way on State Road 415.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing at this time. No further details have been released.
There is nothing more devastating than the sudden and unexpected loss of a loved one in a Florida car accident.
