Wellington, FL (March 7, 2019) - A woman riding a golf cart was seriously hurt when she was struck by a school bus on Thursday, March 7th. The crash happened around 6:30 a.m. near the intersection of Pierson Road and South Shore Boulevard.
The woman, who has not been identified at this time, was traveling southbound on a golf cart. According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, a school bus was traveling westbound at the same time. The school bus, which had one student and the driver on board, collided with the golf cart. The woman was ejected from the cart and thrown into the roadway. She sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital by a medical helicopter. There was no immediate word on the condition.
No one on board the bus was injured. There is no further information available at this time.
