West Palm Beach, FL (July 19, 2021) - A 21-year-old woman from Lake Worth Beach was killed in a two-car crash over the weekend according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office. The accident took place on Saturday around 3:35 a.m. at the intersection on Southern Boulevard and Sansburys Way.
According to a report, Santia Elveus was stopped at a traffic light when she was hit by a Toyota Corolla that was traveling through the intersection at a high rate of speed. Elveus was pronounced dead at the scene. The Corolla driver was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center for treatment. The driver is currently listed in critical condition. There is no further information on the cause of the accident at this time. It is not clear whether any charges will be filed.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
