Westville, FL (July 6, 2018) – The Florida Highway Patrol responded to a serious accident that took the life of a Defuniak Springs man. The man was identified as a 25-year-old who passed away due to serious injuries on Monday night.
The accident happened around 6 p.m. in Holmes County. It took place on State Road 81 when the driver was traveling south at an intersection. He lost control in the accident, which caused him to collide with a concrete ditch. He struck several trees during the accident and his vehicle promptly overturned.
First responders arrived at the accident scene and transported the man to Wiregrass Hospital in Geneva, where he was later pronounced dead.
The man was later identified as 25-year-old Lazaro Aguilar.
