Wimauma, FL (August 29, 2021) - A 31-year-old pedestrian was killed in a crash that took place on U.S. 301 in Wimauma on Sunday, August 29th. The accident happened just after 12:00 a.m. near Brody Boulevard and Sun City Boulevard.
According to a report, the pedestrian was crossing U.S. 301 when he was by a pickup truck driven by a 71-year-old man from Riverview. The pedestrian, who was not identified, died at the crash scene. The driver of the pickup was not injured. Troopers have not released any additional information regarding the crash. The victim's identity remains unknown at this time.
An investigation is ongoing.
