Yulee, FL (April 15, 2021) - The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a deadly crash in Yulee on Thursday. The accident took place in the southbound lanes of I-95 near County Road 208.
According to troopers, a Ford Explorer was traveling southbound on I-95 when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The Explorer traveled into the median before striking a tractor-trailer that was entering the ramp at a weight station. The driver of the SUV, a 48-year-old woman, along with a 67-year-old woman, were ejected from the SUV. The 67-year-old died at the crash scene. An 8-year-old and 10-year-old in the SUV also sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash. The tractor-trailer driver was not hurt.
An investigation remains ongoing. There is no further information available.
