Zephyrhills, FL (December 27, 2018) - A 54-year-old woman is dead following a pedestrian crash in Zephyrhills. The incident took place on Wednesday, December 26th.
The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene at County Road 54, near Ohio Street. That is where troopers say that Eunice Lemcke Nefe was walking eastbound in the road. While walking, Nefe was struck by a 2013 Ford F-150. She suffered catastrophic injuries and was pronounced dead.
Troopers investigated the accident and do not believe that alcohol played a role in the crash. The driver was identified as 61-year-old Christopher Schrier. No further information is available.
